Faith Formation

For Children and Youth

Mission Statement

The Most Blessed Sacrament Faith Formation Program is an essential part of the mission of the parish. The parish supports parents and guardians who are the primary teachers of the faith. The goal of the program is to form the students to be disciples of Jesus Christ, capable of living life with Catholic-Christian values. The program is rooted in the Sunday celebration of the Eucharist where the entire parish draws strength from both word and Sacrament.

Faith Formation for High School students Grades 9 & 10:
In preparing to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation in the spring of 10th Grade our focus will be:
•    knowledge of the Catholic faith
•    knowledge of the meaning of the liturgy and the sacraments
•    promote moral formation in Jesus Christ
•    how to pray with Christ
•    how to live in community and to participate actively in the life and mission of the Church
•    promote a missionary spirit that prepares the faithful to be present as Christians in society

Grades 9 and 10 Faith Formation classes meet once a month on Sunday from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. Students will be required to complete weekly at home assignments on the weeks we do not meet in person including a month long prayer reflection for each month.

Opportunities for service are offered within the Faith Formation program including our monthly community dinners, and a mitten and hat drive for the Christmas season to be donated to the homeless.
